ULF

ULF is a dance company led by Ulf Nilseng, that emerged from the former TOYBOYS. With «Performance on Falling» (2015) and «Be-longing» (2016), at Dansens Hus Oslo, ULF started off a work to broaden the concept of queer, bringing forth a personal, imaginative and physical dance that investigates power, language, prejudice and the experience of being an outsider. The work underlines certain experiences connected to such things as the concept of falling, as in «Performance on Falling», and to be a part of, or not be a part of, a community, a language, a common space. «Be-longing» shows the complications in this very word. To be and to belong is turned around and looked at, also in the view of the audience, which will enter into an intimate relation to the dance on stage.

In the years 2018 – 2020 the company will present the trilogy «Goes Religious», funded by Arts Council Norway.
