PROMISE OF DEPARTURE
Often we think of vulnerability as a fundamental weakness. We imagine that demonstrating a lack of strength, however fleeting, diminishes us in the eyes of others as it preys on our sub consciousness. Three dancers look inward, at their memories including their biggest personal regrets, to find a positive way forward.
LULLABY
Lullaby is a dance theatre performance where raw masculinity and lullabies meet in a rare combination. The production is a collaboration between Panta Rei Dance Theatre and Canadian choreographer Hélène Blackburn, with music by Norwegian musician and composer Sverre Indris Joner. Lullaby is the result of their mutual fascination with the record Lullabies from the axis of evil, an album produced in reaction to the “axis of evil” term. The performance is co-produced by Scenekunst Østfold.
ON THE OUTSIDE
A choreographed concert with artist Marie Munroe and her band live on stage together with breathtaking dancers moving in and around the audience. They aim – through their different means of expression to communicate the loneliness found in togetherness.
BEHIND THE MIRROR
Behind the mirror is a high paced, quirky and beautiful adventure inspired by Alice in Wonderland. A duet where two characters enters a surreal environment of large chessboard pieces, tiny tea sets, bottles containing magic potions and hundreds of jam tarts.
I WISH HER WELL
Act one is based on the stories of four women who are closely related to the dancers, whilst act two is based on the diaries of a 16 year old girl. She is now an 82 year old woman who generously shared her thoughts and experiences with the choreographers and dancers.
