KORDA Art in Motion Dance Company

Choreography, Dance, Music, Image, and Film productions
Linda Forsman, Lou T Lundqvist, and Håkan Blomkvist established KORDA Art in Motion in Stockholm in 1987. Since 2013, the home base has been deep in the forest in southeast Dalarna, close to the region of Gävleborg (SE).

KORDA creates dance pieces for site-specific theatres and galleries, in a flow of dance, music, image, and film relating to objects, visual art, nature, text, and in one with the audience.

KORDA continues the international perspective with new collaborations with Julyen Hamilton, who is highly appreciated and in demand for his inspiring work and teaching.

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee supports both artistic exchanges.

GUEST APPEARANCE WITH JULYEN HAMILTON 2024 – 2026
Linda Forsman and Lou T Lundqvist (KORDA Art) are thrilled to present the dancer, choreographer, poet, teacher, and musician, Julyen Hamilton, at Matsesgården Stigsbo (SE). Julyen Hamilton (UK) has been making and performing dances worldwide for 45 years. He has made over 100 solos as well as 20 years of Company pieces and numerous collaborations with dancers, musicians, and theatre performers. The collaboration between Julyen Hamilton, Linda Forsman, and Lou T Lundqvist will continue during 2026.

Julyen Hamilton has been making and performing dances for 45 years worldwide. He has made over 100 solos as well as 20 years of Company pieces and numerous collaborations with dancers, musicians, and theatre performers.

Born and brought up in England, he trained in London in the 1970s, a time of radical experimentation, and he has been an exponent of innovative performance since that time.

His work is mostly improvised: he composes dance works instantly as well as the texts which often accompany them. His work with text is unique. It fuses naturally his long-term writing practice with his refined skills in dancing. When working with his company ALLEN’S LINE he directs dancers and lighting designers to make and perform work through this same immediacy. Since the 80’s he has performed constantly in close collaboration with many of the highest-quality musicians from all over Europe. It is with some of these musicians that he gives readings of his poetry.
